Held in Luanda, Angola 22-24 April 2014, the Second International Africa Sustainable Waste Management Congress will bring together approximately 500 delegates from more than 22 countries.
The event – jointly organised by the Association of Portuguese Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (APESB), the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) and the Environment Ministry of Angola – aims to build on the huge success of the first congress held in Lobito.
The congress will bring together technicians, researchers, operators, public officials and professionals from the waste sector who will consider a number of themes focussing on developing African economies. These include waste collection and transportation, biological treatment of waste, landfill design and Waste-to-Energy.
