BLOW MOULDING

Process typically used to manufacture containers. The main blow moulding processes are extrusion and injection blow moulding.
In the extrusion blow moulding process, a cylinder of resin is dropped from the extruder, the mould closes around the resin which is then expanded by the injection of air.
The injection blow moulding process requires the resin to be first moulded into a preform. The preform is subsequently transferred to a blow mould where it is expanded by the injection of air
