Council in court over plans for £650m incinerator that could ‘discourage recycling’

Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) has been taken to court over claims that a £650m contract it awarded for an energy-from-waste (EfW) plant could result in the incineration of recyclable material, counter to the government’s waste and resources strategy.
