HazWaste Mena Forum 2014

Technical and strategic solutions for an effective and risk-free hazardous waste management industry in MENA. Demographic and industrial growth has left the MENA region with diverse and increasing amount of hazardous waste generated that needs to be managed in the most cost-effective, risk-free and environmental manner. The region’s national development plans focus largely on sustainable development, and with environmental issues on the top of the list, most MENA countries plan to reduce generated hazardous waste, improve its management, increase recycling and reduce landfilling. The region’s senior officials from the waste management and environmental sector are currently considering different procedures, financial models, technologies and solutions that will work best for their country and help them achieve their national target.
