IFAT India – International Meeting Place

Water is scarce in India. A large part of the Indian population – mostly those living in the countryside or in the numerous slums of the metropolises – have no direct access to clean water. Where water pipes don`t exist, water has to be distributed with tank vehicles and then filled into containers by the people. A time-consuming procedure, especially putting the poor at a disadvantage. Therefore, the Indian government is now facing the challenge to modernize the country`s water management system.

State of the art technologies and solutions from the area of drinking water abstraction and waste water disposal are exhibited at the upcoming IFAT India 2015 in Mumbai, which will open its doors from October 13 to 15 for the third time. About 100 national and international exhibitors from the environmental sector are showcasing their products and around 5000 trade visitors are expected to visit India`s leading fair for water, sewage, refuse and recycling. Come and see for yourself.
