The objectives of this project were to (1) review the technical literature on landfill gases, (2) to develop a methodology and protocol for the State of Florida to use to measure both the composition of landfill gases as well as the gas flux rates, (3) to examine emissions of specific chemical compounds, (4) to develop a mathematical model to predict gaseous emissions of toxic pollutants from landfills, and (5) to identify a dispersion model for estimating potential downwind impacts from a landfill. The results of this research are reported in this final report
