Plastic, pollutant or environment-friendly?

A German study concluded that if plastic containers were banned from the market, domestic waste would weigh 404% more, energy consumption would be 212% higher, and the cost of containers would go up 212%. Germany’s Ministry of Environment published new statistics showing that atmospheric and liquid emissions are smaller with the production of plastic bags instead of paper. A large Sweden retailer and a German one as well went back to using plastic bags in its shops after evaluating this data. Nowadays, plastic is even looked upon as environment-friendly, once it came to substitute raw materials such as bones, ivory, turtle shell etc. Besides,early all kinds of plastic are recyclable, which allows the transformation of discarded products into new ones and doesn’t make plastic the big bad guy o modern society.
