Increasing costs for raw materials and energy and demand for sustainable, climate protective waste treatment and recycling techniques have placed technologies like bio-methanation and material recovery facilities (MRF) in the spot of interest. MBT / AWT develops from a landfill combined pre-treatment to a material selection technology providing various secondary raw materials and energy from municipal solid waste.
Having participants from about 40 countries in 2009 and 2011, Waste-to-Resources is world’s largest conference on MBT & MRF. Becoming a joint event of Wasteconsult international and the German association of MBT operators (ASA), a further growth is expected for 2013. The combination of conference, commercial exhibition and site visits will make Waste-to-Resources 2013 again a prime event for operators, authorities, consultants and technology providers. The conference will cover topics like
MBT & MRF in different countries
Targets, legal aspects, boundary values
Basics, possibilities, limits and relevance of MBT & MRF
Current and future relevance of MBT & MRF
Competition and material (waste) streams in Europe
Functionality, economic efficiency & life cycle balance
Experience with new and rebuilt plants
New developments in machine and system engineering
Emissions and their treatment
Landfilling of MBT-waste
