Dos paus e lixo que apanha, Joaquim faz cobras, sardões e “tudo o que lhe dá na cabeça”

Quando deixou o mar, depois de quatro décadas dedicadas à pesca de bacalhau, Joaquim Pires começou a apanhar paus "a torto e a direito". Olhava para eles, tortos e direitos, e imaginava uma peça na sua cabeça: cobras, sardões, pássaros, cisnes, ou tudo o que dali pudesse surgir.
