Factory to be powered with own waste in Ireland first

An innovative County Tyrone company plans to convert wood dust from its door manufacturing process into electricity to help power its factory by 2027. O S Doors’ new multimillion-pound biomass-fuelled system will transform waste that’s currently shipped to England into millions of units of electricity, significantly reducing the company’s largest annual expense. The technology, described as “a first on the island of Ireland,” represents the culmination of eight years of development work.
